Professor of Cariology and Director of UNICA – Caries Research Unit, Research Vice-rectory, El Bosque University, Bogotá, Colombia. Stefania graduated from Javeriana University in 1990 and her work has centered upon a systematic and integrated approach to research, education and transfer to general and public dental health practice. She is a Visiting Academic at the Innovation & Translation Hub, Faculty of Dentistry, Oral & Craniofacial Sciences, King’s College London, UK. Professor Martignon is on the Board of the ICDAS Foundation, is Executive Chair of CariesCare International, sits on the Global Expert Panel of the Alliance for a Cavity Free Future (ACFF) and chairs the ACFF Colombian Chapter. She is also part of the GCCM (Global Collaboratory for Caries Management, with King’s and its Partners). Within the Colombian Ministry of Health she is a regular consultant and she collaborates internationally with other universities, organisations and companies.

Nigel graduated in Dentistry from the University of London, moved to the University of Hong Kong to help set up a new Dental School in the 1980s and returned to the UK to take up the Directorship of the Dental Health Services Research Unit at the University of Dundee, where he also served as Dean of Dentistry. He moved back to London and King’s in January 2013. Professor Pitts is Chair of the ICDAS Foundation (which coordinates ICCMS™ – the International Caries Classification and Management System, and CariesCare International), as well as being Chair of the Alliance for a Cavity Free Future charity. He also works with a number of research and professional organisations, as well as Companies; seeking to improve Dentistry, Oral Health and Health.
Visiting Senior Implementation Fellow at the Innovation & Translation Hub, Faculty of Dental, Oral & Craniofacial Sciences, King’s College London, UK. Dr. Guy Goffin is a dental practitioner and former leader of VVT’s Working Group for Oral Prevention in Belgium. In 1990 he moved to industry and finally, after a long career, became the director for Professional & Scientific Relations for Procter & Gamble’s Oral Care division in Europe, Middle East and Africa. In this role, he and his team worked with top dental academics and opinion leaders from around the world for the benefit of a better oral health worldwide. After his retirement in 2014, he joined King’s to assist the ICDAS Foundation for bringing the International Caries Classification and Management System to life in dental practices worldwide through CariesCare International.
Marco was appointed as CEO of the Les Chirurgiens-Dentistes de France (CDF) in October 2019. The CDF are committed to the future of oral health, they do not dissociate the interest of practitioners from that of patients in the policy of access to healthcare and public health. Its 100 departmental unions spread across France make the CDF a major force in the representing the profession in France. Dr Mazevet is a French Dental Graduate who has worked in the UK and has an intimate knowledge of young Dentists and Dental Politics in Europe, the UK and the US; he participates in the FDI World Dental Federation. His PhD Studies are with King’s College London on a Project entitled: Caries Prevention: Economics and Stakeholder impact. He is a former President of EDSA (European Dental Students Association), an Executive Committee Member of CariesCare International and a member of the Health Economics Consortium: Alliance for a Cavity Free Future.
Stephen is a dentist, writer, editor, publisher and performer, Editor-in-Chief of the BDJ, and also owns his own publishing business. He was appointed OBE in 1997 by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II for services to the dental profession and subsequently has been awarded Honorary Membership of the British Dental Association, the American Dental Association and a place in the prestigious FDI’s List of Honour. He has an MA from the Central School of Speech and Drama, London in Advanced Theatre Practice and is also well known for chairing, lecturing and after-dinner speaking. Additionally, he has a gardening series on YouTube entitled Let’s Go Gardening.
